Best time to go
The riverside landmarks in Prague are lit from about 17:30 in winter and after 21:00 in summer. The departures around 18:00–19:00 in winter and 21:00–22:00 in summer see the city fully lit.
In November boats leave from 16:00 to 21:00, about every half hour. In July the first departure is at 17:30, and from 19:20 boats leave every 20 minutes until 22:00.
Between 20:00 and 22:00 a sightseeing boat is sometimes full. In that case your ticket takes you on the next one at no extra charge. If that was the last departure of the evening, the next one will be on another day, so on your last evening in Prague it is better to pick an earlier time.
